      Working Remotely:

      Working from home or a remote location can be a productive and successful experience with a few basic pieces in place. Our goal at Philantech3 is to help provide the technology needed to make this be a positive solution for our business clients.

      Security:

      It’s tempting to skip this step but critical that we don’t. Before allowing remote access to your sensitive data, it’s important to have the proper controls in place to ensure that your business will continue to function without devastating disruption caused by security breaches. We start with an Information Security Policy that ensures that industry best-practices are followed.

      Communication:

      Chat and instant meetings:
      One of the things that immediately changes when working remotely is the ability to pop your head into a co-worker’s space and ask a question. To address this, we recommend using Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams comes standard with most Office 365 subscriptions, so you are most likely already paying for it with your Microsoft Office 365 subscription. Let us know and we’ll get this setup for you.

      Remote Access:

      Unless your office is already 100% cloud based, you’ll need to remotely access office resources from your remote location. For most of our clients, this will mean having the ability to remote into your office computer. We can almost instantly deploy this. Send us a support request to get started.

      Phone:

      If your office uses a Voice over IP (VoIP) solution like Digium or RingCentral, we can easily install a “Softphone” application on your remote computer that will give you the full functionality of your office phone, but from your remote computer. Make and receive calls as you normally would. Let’s talk about the functionality of your current system and how we can make it more remote friendly.
